The shallow-dig Platin tanks from Rainwater Harvesting
Ltd. are
selling very well. Although marginally more expensive than the Carat tanks in terms of the volume to price ratio, the Platin tanks have other advantages.
Contractors love the speed and simplicity of the shallow dig, reduction in spoil generated on site and ease of access for maintenance with the Platin’s shallow-dig design. On average, a third less spoil is created. They come in 1,500, 3,000, 5,000 and 7,500 litre capacities. All in stock in Peterborough.

| Soakaways |
First Flush Filter |
Planners don’t like overflow from rainwater tanks going
back to the main drains. So have a soakaway delivered at
the same time as the rainwater harvesting system, and save time and money.
We stock drainage crates in a variety of sizes which are easy to install. With flood attenuation measures becoming a top priority in all construction, these crates will also serve for surface water removal. An additional geo-textile layer further slows water dispersal. If planners have stipulated the volume of water to be removed, our flood attenuation calculator will work out the number of crates required. Click

If you’ve got a roof which gets particularly covered in
leaves, bird droppings, moss or other debris then you might be worried about the amount of unwanted muck getting in to your rainwater tank when it first starts to rain after a long dry spell.
The principle of the first-flush-diverter is that it diverts the first few minutes of the rainstorm away from the tank and off to waste. Then the
First Flush Filter Diverter releases the cleaner water into the tank.
Clean Rain Filter Ultra allows the user to connect multiple outlet hoses to direct water to a pool, garden or storage tanks. This is an Australian product, very keenly priced and available ex stock from Peterborough.

TOP TIP – Installation
|
|
Cleanliness! Make certain no dirt gets in the underground tank: protect the interior through all stages of installation, and keep turret lid on whenever possible. Do not cut pipes over the tank and drop swarf into the bottom. Any debris remaining in the tank once the system is commissioned will damage pumps, block micro-filters and valves in the indoor piping system.
