Water Reuse Week 2025
Water Reuse Week 2025 is running from the 15th–21st September. This national campaign is hoping to raise awareness of the importance of saving and reusing water. Everyone, from large organisations to individual households can play a part.
Rainwater Harvesting Limited will be holding drop in clinic in Cambridge. The drop in clinic will be held 11am – 3pm on Thursday 18th September.
The drop in clinic is open to architects, builder, planners, self-builders, property developers and any of the general public who would like to know more about Rainwater Harvesting and Water Reuse.
We will have a team from Rainwater Harvesting Limited on site who will be able explain the benefits of Rainwater Harvesting and the how the different systems operate.
If Rainwater Harvesting was included in a property this could potentially lower mains water consumption at the property by 50%
Did You Know?
In the average home 35% of water use (drink quality water) is literally flushed down the toilet.
During Water Reuse week and beyond everyone at home can make simple, powerful changes by doing the following:
- Collecting rainwater for gardening using water butts,
- Reusing water where safe – such as using cooled pasta cooking water to water plants,
- Installing water-saving devices, like dual flush systems or aerated shower heads,
- Turning off the tap while brushing teeth,
- Fixing leaks promptly – even a dripping tap can waste litres a day,
- Spreading the word on social media to raise awareness and encourage others to act.
