Incentives from Thames Water

Thames Water are offering incentives for customers in the Thames Water area from 1st April 2022 until 31st March 2023.

Anyone who is building a new property and requires a new water connection from Thames Water

13.4 – Tier 2: Rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling / reuse:
13.4.1 – To help drive the use of technologies that capture and/or reuse water, we are offering an incentive payment for when any of the following water provision technologies are included in your development.

• Rainwater harvesting
• Greywater recycling
• Other water reuse technology

13.4.2 – To be eligible to apply for a Tier 2 discount, you must also be able to demonstrate compliance with  the criteria for the Tier 1 discount.

13.4.3 – For the Tier 2 discount to be approved, in addition to evidencing compliance with the criteria for Tier 1, please also send us your planning application and evidence to demonstrate that the technologies are capturing at least 50 litres of water use per property per day for reuse.

13.4.4 Tier 2 Incentive discount: £1,000 per property

Sometimes it is very frustrating for a company who can provide a solution to a problem that is on the horizon. There is always talk of potential water shortages in the future due to the growing population and the limited access to natural water source for the Water Companies.

It is great to see that Thames Water are acknowledging the impact that installing a Rainwater Harvesting System into your new build can have and are offering an incentive to do this.
